I still remember a story my mother would tell me back when we lived in a small town called McGrath, it was a story they told so I wouldn't stay up past midnight, the story was called "Watchmaker"

Long before I was born my mother and father had adopted a little girl named Sarah, Sarah would never go to bed as told, my parents warned her, "Go to bed or the Watchmaker will come".

for those of you who are wondering who this watch maker is, the Watchmaker was a 18 year old named Samuel who worked at his fathers shop, Sam worked in the back and made watches, he wasn't allowed to sleep till he finished at least three watches a day, while his sister got to sleep once the sun went down, but she always fought with their parents not wanting to sleep, after months of his sister screaming every night he snapped and exited his work area tossing a clock face as hard as he could at his dear sister, the glass shattered cutting her eyes, Sam's father was furious at Sam and dragged him down to the basement, no one knows what happened next,  not even Sam's mother knows, but coincidentally the town was then harassed, a creature with a leathery face, almost like a mask made of human skin, eyes made of clocks, clothes that smelled of copper, and wild brunette hair would show up in their disobedient children's rooms and replace their hearts with a small coo coo clock, and their tongue clock hands, the town becoming terrified sent their children to bed with a warning, they'd tell their children "Go to bed or the watchmaker will get you".

My parents warned the little girl but she didn't listen and laughed at them instead, after five days of being warned my mother was laying in her bed, while my father worked in his study when they heard a loud ticking noise followed by a scream hushed as soon as it started, when my mother rushed into the room my father was already there freaking out after stepping on an intestine, my mother ran to the living room and called the police, on her way to the phone she said she saw a boy with wild hair staring at her from the kitchen window his eyes glowing a smile plastered to his lips shushing her, when my mother blinked the boy was gone, when the police inspected the little girls body they found her organs had been messily pulled out of her chests cavity her heart replaced with a coo coo clock and in replace for her tongue stuck out five clock hands, as if stating the number of days she had been warned.

My mother told me that the police blamed my father and locked him up, I have only heard the story twice, warned only three times, but each time I was warned I could faintly hear the sound of a clock ticking, each time slower, it only took me three nights to believe them, and ever since I wander, was it just a myth? Or was there more to the "story" then what I've heard

I'm too scared to stay up and find out

.....my clock is ticking
This is a story I've been told as a child, true or not it still makes me wonder
